Allan E. Larden, Senior Consultant
As an architectural project manager, Allan E. Larden (OAA, MRAIC) has gained a thorough appreciation of
the process of design, technical detailing, specification writing and construction review for an array
of building types. Allan's career incorporates a unique blend of architectural practice, government
building code authority, and building code and fire protection consulting in private practice. His roles
during his 10-year career with the Province of Ontario included: building code advisor, technical policy
advisor, and assistant director of the Ontario Buildings Branch. Allan provided advice to officials,
designers and owners regarding construction practices and code interpretation, housing inspection as well
as managing the creation and ongoing administration of the Ontario Building Code.
To his credit are portions of the Ontario Building Code, and seats on technical committees reporting to
the Associate Committee on the National Building Code of Canada.
Murray Mok, Senior Fire Protection Engineer
Murray has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration
in Marketing and a higher certificate in Electrical Engineering with a diverse background in fire
protection accumulated over 28 years of experience. His experience spans across fire protection,
plumbing and drainage, electrical and HVAC. As a licensed professional engineer in Alberta,
Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario, Mr. Mok’s experience is focused on providing 3rd party design
review, computer simulation, building and fire code consulting, pre-start health and safety review,
along with the design and inspection of fire protection systems.
Murray is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario, the Association of
Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Manitoba and Saskatchewan, and the Association of
Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta. Murray continually attends seminars
and classes to stay up-to-date in the ever changing building code and fire protection industry.
Gordana Tijanic, Senior Code Consultant
Gordana holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the provinces of Ontario and Alberta. Gordana participates in a number of professional associations and is a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPA).
Gordana has been a highly valued technical project manager leading consultants and supporting other members of consulting teams. Gordana directly supervises and mentors staff, maximizing efficiencies to ensure that compliance and client requirements are met. Her depth of knowledge and awareness ensures successful implementation of client needs.
Ms. Tijanic specializes in fire protection and life safety and applies the Ontario Building Code, National Building Code and International Building Code in daily practice. Gordana is proficient in all phases of project development from the conceptual design stage to issuance of a building permit and has managed over 600 projects, since joining SLM in 2004.
Anita Ardekani, Financial Manager
Anita has over ten years of experience in financial accounting, analysis and budgeting with a Bachelor
of Business Administration and designated as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with the Society
of Certified Management Accountants of Ontario and Canada.
Since joining SLM, Anita has managed, developed and implemented accounting systems, financial
reporting and modern controllership and has been involved in business development and geographic
expansion. |
